Matthew Pillischer is a painter,
filmmaker, actor and musician. Originally from Jenkintown, PA, he is
now living in Lambertville, NJ. He works in Trenton with abused and
neglected children at the Millhill Child and Family Development Center,
and continues to work on various art projects.
From 2002-2004, Matthew lived in Cincinnati, OH. In this time period,
he exhibited his paintings in the S.O.S. Socio-Political Art Show ('03,
'04), Closson's Interior Design Gallery, Awakenings Gallery, and Sitwell's
Gallery.
His short films have shown at the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Boa Arts
Festival in Antwerp, Belgium, and the Vermont Festival of Independent
Video. Matthew completed his first feature film, "Over Walls," in
August, 2004, and it premiered at the NY International Independent
Film and Video Festival.
Matthew has appeared on the stage and in films from coast to coast,
with Lightbox Studio in Portland, OR, at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival
at Cincinnati's Playhouse in the Park, with Thunderlady Pictures, NY,
NY, Tracks Productions, NY,NY, and with Mad Ellen Pictures, Cincinnati,
OH.
Matthew's latest original CD, "Fences Up," was recorded
with Subversive Records in Cincinnati, OH. It is available on-line
and in several record stores.
Matthew plays guitar and sings with his new band, The 4-5-9s, creating
original Americana music. He is also raising funds for his next feature
film, and continues to paint, draw and write in his spare time.
