I began
painting and drawing as a young child and got accepted to the selective
and specialized High School of Music and Art in New York City. After
college and a degree in art education I moved to San Francisco where
I fell in love with the quality of light, the golden hills, the great
outdoors and the creative spirit of the area. I started out doing
primarily oils and etchings but while spending summers as a forest
fire lookout in wilderness areas I began working in watercolor and
mixed media with the flora and fauna below the tower as my inspiration. When
I moved back East I was accepted into the CT Watercolor Society but
soon put painting aside due to demands of a graphic design career and
raising children. Life led me to Bucks County 10 years ago where
I was once again inspired by the light and colors and tenor of another
area of natural beauty and artistic temperment. Finally starting
a year ago I was able to dedicate myself to painting again after a
25 year hiatus. I am currently working in watercolor but will
eventually return to oils as well. I look forward to expressing
the beauty of the area with the joy and light it bestows.
